Dr. VITO VRICELLA, O.D., F.I.A.O. – Optometrist & Owner

A St. Louis native, Dr. Vricella completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2005 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University, there he was awarded a full four-year tuition scholarship. He moved on to complete his Doctorate in Optometry in 2009 with honors at the University of Missouri – St. Louis where he serves as an adjunct clinical professor. He has had extensive training in contact lenses and medical eyecare at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH and is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Vricella provides comprehensive eye care including prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, refractive surgery consultation, and ocular disease management that includes treating and managing glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration. He has additional training in pediatric optometry and Orthokeratology. He is also the team eye doctor for the professional soccer team STLFC here in St. Louis. A member of the AOA and the MOA, Dr. Vricella is a guest lecturer at UMSL and is fluent in both Italian and conversational in Spanish, he welcomes these new patients to the office. Dr. Vricella is a member of the Fenton Lion’s Club and Fenton Chamber of Commerce and has been since 2009. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and is the premiere physician in St. Louis performing WAVEFRONT ORTHOKERATOLOGY and has been for years. He has been in eyecare serving the St. Louis area for over twenty years, and he resides in O’Fallon, MO. In his free time, Dr. Vricella enjoys spending time with his family, fast exotic cars, international soccer, and playing piano.





 


 

Dr. JOSEPH ROTH, O.D. – Optometrist

Dr. Roth grew up in St. Louis and was interested in vision science at an early age. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. He continued his education at UMSL to earn his Doctorate in Optometry. He performed disease rotations at Affinia Healthcare and St. Louis University, and pediatrics with Mercy ophthalmology and eye care specialists.

Dr. Roth has a special interest in dry eye management and digital eyestrain, and their often overlooked effects on vision and comfort. He also enjoys managing diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

Outside of work Dr. Roth likes to spend time outdoors trail running, hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places. At home he likes cooking new exotic recipes, as well as brewing and fermenting interesting ciders, meads, and beers.

 


Dr. B. WAYNE DUDNEY, M.D. – Retina Specialist

Dr. B. Wayne Dudney is our retina surgeon, specializing in diabetic eye care, retina tears and detachments, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Dudney’s personal attention to each of his patients sets him apart from other retina specialists in the St. Louis and Swansea, Illinois areas.

Dr. B. Wayne Dudney earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed a vitreo-retinal surgical fellowship at the National Retina Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Dudney is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the Retina Associates of St. Louis.
